Todd Clifford

Vancouver Office Manager

Todd Clifford has been involved in family business for his entire life. His parents owned and operated a moving and storage company and were always open with Todd and his brother about their business practices and the state of the company. This provided Todd with a unique education on business.

Working in the business moving furniture on summers and weekends while in high school, Todd had the opportunity to work in front of customers and not in the office with his parents. This developed the desire in Todd to provide quality service to the people he was working for.

After high school Todd wanted to be more involved in the family business and went into sales for the company. As a commission sales person, with no salary, Todd started to earn a reasonable living being paid strictly on his performance, not handouts from the family.

After working with his parents for a few years, Todd left the family business and ventured forth on his own to start his own delivery company making local deliveries in the Vancouver area. After doing so for 2 years with a secured contract with The Home Depot, an opportunity presented itself for Todd and his parents to once again join forces.

With the two companies merged into one, another opportunity came along for Todd and his parents to hire a corporate sales manager from one of their largest competitors. After making a successful bid for his services they hired the gentleman. After eight months, when the new sales manager was unable to deliver any corporate contracts and had no positive impact on the business, the sales manager was let go.

Todd took over the role of sales manager and within one year increased revenues by $100,000.00 while increasing profit by $150,000.00.

It was also at that time that Todd’s brother Darren started trading with Bright Trading. After seeing the capital required, the potential gains, and the work required in trading, Todd became interested in leaving the moving and storage industry to try his hand at trading.

The first year was difficult with the learning curve of a new venture. Todd even had a part time job to help keep his personal life secure.

The second year was very positive. Despite one big loss at trading, Todd had a lot of success and celebrate the birth of his first child.

With all of his life experiences paving the way for his trading career Todd is enjoying the success of trading and the freedom it is bringing to his lifestyle.
